40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moonlanding

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the Moon, the Foamlab astronaut team will be re-enacting this historic event at the Space Expo centre that belongs to the ESA (European Space Agency) in Noordwijk. The event possibly will be shown by live-stream video to Museum Boerhave, Lange St. Agnietenstraat 10 in Leiden, The Netherlands.

Sprinckelink is a collection of shows held in the front-space of FoAM Lab in Amsterdam. In this former-shoeshop a series of exhibitions takes place that started in May 2005. From the street a diverse program is offered to passers-by. Sprinckelinxkes are the old Dutch term for sparks that fly off. The lab-window serves as a portal for sparks to jump onto our neighbourhood inhabitants.
Amsterdam West is an area of the city inhabited mostly by low-income groups and is culturally diverse. The window brings the world of science, design, culture to street level. We have been showing inflatable architecture, anthropological collections, botany, physics and technology, sometimes as a full show or in less formal settings.
Solemnities is a special program within the Sprinckelink exhibition series centered around highlights in the Christian festive calendar and is intended to connect the diverse religious community of Amsterdam West with the cultural historic remnants of Christianity in the Low Countries.
